Chheng & Sophorn Nuon

Picture
Chheng Nuon is a missionary pastor in Cambodia. He started Sovereign Grace churches in two villages - Prek Ambel and Sre Trang. Chheng and his wife Sophorn are members of FBC Parker and are Cambodian nationals. God preserved Chheng's life and that of his family through the reign of Pol Pot and the brutal killing fields.  After almost twenty years in the United States, the Lord led them to return to Cambodia to share the gospel of God's grace and mercy. They have been ministering in Cambodia since 1999. We rejoice at God's blessings upon Chheng and the work of church planting in Cambodia.

Bill & Jennifer Hale

Picture
After visiting Chheng and Sophorn several times to help in the work of the ministry and to encourage the churches, the Lord led them to move to Cambodia in January of 2007 to help share the gospel and build up the churches.

Bill served as a teacher at the Prek Ambel Training Center (PATC) teaching Systematic Theology, Computer Technology, & Guitar. He also assisted in the day-to-day and long-term ministry strategy and planning for the church planting work in Cambodia. Jennifer was an English teacher at the PATC.

In March of 2011, the Hales returned to the USA to work with FBC Parker, their home church, where Bill is serving as a Pastor/ Elder.  They
continue to provide support to the Cambodian churches while living stateside.  First, by helping to raise awareness and support for the work in the USA.  Second, by continuing to help and encourage the translation of tracts, books and other documents to assist them in spreading the word.  Third, by making yearly visits to Cambodia to better assess the needs of the churches.  He also has an active relationship with many Cambodians who live in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area of Texas.

Bora and Dina

Picture
These two brothers are working in a place called Khoh K’law in Battambang province. They graduated from our school in May of 2010 and are doing well. They have been preaching the Gospel daily and teaching English to the community.  The Lord has blessed them with a good building to have meetings which is in a great location with a well maintained road.

Please pray for Dina and Bora as they serve God as ministers of reconciliation (2 Cor. 5:18-19). Pray the Lord will protect them from the snares of the wicked (Psalm 141:9). Pray the favor of God would be upon them and establish the work of their hands (Psalm 90:17).

Daniel and Theary

Picture
Daniel and Theary, with the help of some fellow workers, have been working in the villages of Compung Sombooah and Lake Pram Booun, which are located about 10 miles south of Prek Ambel. Daniel spends three days a week in each of these two villages doing evangelism and visitation. Bible studies have been established in both of these new areas and Lake Pram Booun has a small worship service.

Daniel also spends time each week working on translation projects.  Cambodians need more Christian devotion and theology books in their own language.  Daniel works with Bill Hale to select and complete these projects.  He is now working on an abridged version of John Owen’s The Death of Death in the Death of Christ and Wayne Grudem’s Christian Beliefs. Both books have been completed and the formatting process is underway. Please pray for their ministry.
